Common questions

Second opinion

Bring your numbers to someone who can see the rest

A calculator sees three or four figures. A specialist sees your history, your scans, your partner's results, and how you actually responded to treatment. If you're between cycles, changing clinics, or something in your results doesn't add up, a second opinion is the fastest way to find out whether anything would be done differently.

Free first consultation. No obligation to start treatment, and it doesn't affect your care at your current clinic.

These tools provide general information and are not a diagnosis or a substitute for assessment by a qualified clinician. Reference ranges and sources are stated on each calculator. Predictive estimates describe groups of people and cannot predict an individual outcome.

IVF cost calculator

Full cost including the parts usually quoted separately — the cycle fee is about half.

In short

The full cost of a cycle in India is rarely the headline price. Medication, ICSI, freezing and testing are usually quoted separately and often add substantially.

Source — Totals are the figures you enter — this adds them up rather than quoting prices. Indian clinic pricing varies widely by city and unit. Ask for a written breakdown that states what happens if the cycle is cancelled before egg collection, which is the most common unexpected cost.

Reference ranges awaiting clinical sign-off

The bands on this page are drawn from published sources but have not yet been reviewed by our medical team, and some vary by laboratory or assay. Check against the reference range printed on your own report.

Questions this usually raises

What is usually excluded from a quoted price?

Medication most often, then ICSI, embryo freezing and storage, and any genetic testing. Consultations and scans are sometimes billed separately too.

Why does medication vary so much?

Dose depends on ovarian reserve and protocol. Someone needing a high dose over a longer stimulation can pay several times what a low-dose protocol costs.

Is a more expensive clinic better?

Price does not reliably indicate outcome. Ask for the live birth rate per transfer in your age band, and compare that against the cost.

Or ask someone
  • A free first consultation covers this properly, with your actual results rather than an estimate
  • Both partners assessed together — male factor is involved in roughly half of cases
