Is this per cycle or per transfer?

Per embryo transferred. Some cycles do not reach transfer at all, so the chance per cycle started is lower than the figure shown.

Why are clinic-advertised rates higher?

Clinics differ in who they treat and how they count. A rate per transfer, in your age band, using your own eggs, is the comparable number to ask for.

Does this apply to donor eggs?

No. With donor eggs the donor age drives the outcome and recipient age matters far less. Use the donor egg calculator instead.

HFEA published age bands for live birth per embryo transferred, 2023 data (preliminary, not yet validated by HFEA): 35% under 35, 27% at 35 to 37, 16% at 38 to 39, 11% at 40 to 42, 5% at 43 to 44. UK national figures; Indian clinic outcomes vary and are not centrally published in a comparable form. Ask your clinic for its own rate in your age band.
