Making an embryology report readable
An embryology report is a funnel: eggs retrieved, then mature, then fertilised, then cleaved, then blastocyst, then — if tested — euploid. Each step has a typical attrition, and where your cycle dropped off is more informative than the final number.
Blastocyst conversion is the strongest single signal about embryo quality, and it declines with maternal age. Low conversion usually reflects egg quality rather than anything done during the cycle — worth saying plainly, because people assume otherwise.
