Common questions

Second opinion

Bring your numbers to someone who can see the rest

A calculator sees three or four figures. A specialist sees your history, your scans, your partner's results, and how you actually responded to treatment. If you're between cycles, changing clinics, or something in your results doesn't add up, a second opinion is the fastest way to find out whether anything would be done differently.

Free first consultation. No obligation to start treatment, and it doesn't affect your care at your current clinic.

These tools provide general information and are not a diagnosis or a substitute for assessment by a qualified clinician. Reference ranges and sources are stated on each calculator. Predictive estimates describe groups of people and cannot predict an individual outcome.

Egg freezing cost

Cycles needed to reach a target, plus storage over time.

Population estimateAn average for people with your inputs, not a prediction for you. Individual outcomes vary widely around it.

In short

Egg freezing cost is the number of retrieval cycles needed multiplied by the cycle fee, plus annual storage. Published oocyte yields put half of women at 12–20 mature eggs at age 30, 7–16 at 35, and 4–11 at 40, so older patients typically need more cycles to reach the same target.

Source — Age-based mature oocyte yield: 50% of women aged 30, 35 and 40 had 12–20, 7–16 and 4–11 mature oocytes frozen respectively, on a standardised antagonist protocol at 300 IU/day (retrospective cohort, 2025). Storage pricing must be confirmed with your clinic.

Questions this usually raises

Why does the number of cycles change with age?

Because yield per cycle falls. Published data put the median at 12–20 mature eggs at 30 but only 4–11 at 40, so reaching the same target takes proportionally more cycles and more money.

Is storage really charged every year?

Usually, and it continues for as long as the eggs are kept. Over ten years storage can approach the cost of a retrieval cycle, which people rarely factor in at the start.

What if I cannot afford the target number?

Fewer eggs is a lower chance rather than no chance. Many people bank what they can afford and accept the odds knowingly, which is a legitimate decision.
